Police have charged a 21-year-old man with murder in the stabbing death of a University of Connecticut football player outside a school-sanctioned dance on Oct. 18th.

The University of Connecticut football team will travel to South Florida Monday to remember slain teammate Jasper Howard. Howard was murdered on the Storrs campus last weekend. No one has been arrested in the case.

Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford said Tuesday he hopes to play this weekend against Baylor and says he has no regrets about coming back to Oklahoma for his junior season instead of heading to the NFL early.

Florida coach Urban Meyer said Monday that quarterback Tim Tebow is no longer dealing with any post-concussion symptoms but has not yet been cleared to play against No. 4 LSU Saturday in Baton Rouge.

Though he was born without a left hand, Kevin Laue has reached his goal of playing Division 1 basketball. The northern-California native received a full scholarship from Manhattan College in New York. Laue is a center for the Jaspers.

The Big East and Big 12 Conferences will play in a new college football bowl game in 2010 at the new Yankee Stadium. In a news conference Wednesday, it was announced the game would be played between Christmas and New Year's Day.
