Second-seeded North Carolina, which had survived two College World Series elimination games in two days by coming up with timely hits, could barely manage an RBI on Sunday night, much less muster much offense to bolster its tired bullpen or overcome an early deficit.

As a result of Fresno State's 6-1 victory, the Bulldogs (45-30) -- the lowest regional seed to ever advance to the CWS -- will play No. 8 seed Georgia in the best-of-three championship series, beginning tonight.
